Honour Simplicity, Respect the Flow is Kai's debut album. This highly acclaimed bassist has featured on many albums during his musical career accompanying artists such as John McLaughlin, Trilok Gurtu, Randy Brecker, Ralph Towner and many others.

We met Kai when he played bass on Antonio Forcione's Ghetto Paradise [Naim CD032]. We were so impressed that we asked him to do a whole album for us! Kai has written the album himself with the exception of two tracks which were written by drummer Sean Rickman and keyboard player Aydin Esen, another testament to the consistently high calibre of musicians that we record. Honour Simplicity, Respect the Flow also features a whole host of other exciting musicians including Courtney Pine and Zakir Hussain..

Kai began to study the bass guitar aged 15, and went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston. It was at this time that Kai began the first of many international tours, and his special talent received the international recognition that it deserves.

The CD was recorded by Ken Christianson and Peter Williams, who worked together in order to share the best of their expertise.

本唱片在芝加哥教堂现场录制,如同唱片名字一般的梦幻之声.

Dreamhouse is a soaringly beautiful blend of piano, bass and drums, played with the laid-back ease synonymous with true jazz musicians. Fred Simon, Kelly Sill and Sarah Allen have pooled their formidable talents to record this, their aptly titled first album as a trio.

Fred Simon's passion manifests itself in this album; he has written all the tracks himself except one. He has been making music for nearly thirty years, composing for records, live performance, film, dance and television. He has collaborated with the likes of Ralph Towner, Larry Coryell, Lyle Mays, Kurt Elling and Paul Wertico to name but a very few. Kelly and Sarah have likewise worked with many highly regarded musicians including Ernie Watts, Mose Allison, Bobbi Wilsyn and Bobby Conn.

Dreamhouse was recorded in just one day at Union Church in Chicago by Ken Christianson.

This is the Allegri String Quartet's fifth album for the Naim Label and is a further example of their brilliant expertise in interpretation.

Beethoven composed his Opus 131 for string quartet in 1826 while Britten's Opus 94 was not composed until 1976, demonstrating the Quartet's versatility necessary to perform works from different centuries. The deep musicality and superlative technique of the four individuals combine to create a seamless dynamic communality.

This CD?was recorded by Ken Christianson at the Henry Wood Hall in London. This venue was chosen for its size and famous acoustic attributes, which were vital to the finished recording.
